Privacy policy: Cricket Creator
Last updated: 27 October 2026
This policy explains what information Cricket Creator collects, why, who helps us run the app, how long we keep things, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain English. If anything is unclear, contact us (section 13).
Cricket Creator is used by young players, so a short version for them is at the end (section 14).
1. Who we are
Cricket Creator (the app, the website at cricketer.pro, the Android app on Google Play and the iPhone app on the App Store) is run by CreatED Futures Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16278163), registered office Homewood House, St. James Road, Netherbury, Bridport DT6 5LP. We are the "controller" of the personal information described here, except where an academy, school or league uses Cricket Creator for its own players (section 8).
Contact: privacy@cricketer.pro (or rp@created-futures.com)
2. The short version
- A parent sets up and looks after the account of anyone under 18.
- Your clips and training are private unless you (or, for a junior, your parent) choose to share them.
- Nothing goes public in Highlights without a parent's approval for a junior.
- There are no private messages between adults and juniors.
- We don't show advertising and we don't sell your information.
- You can download or delete your information.
3. What we collect
Account details. Name, email address, phone number if you give it, username, password or passkey details (we never see your Face ID or fingerprint), and your role (player, parent, coach, fan). If you sign in with Apple, Apple tells us your name and an email address (which can be a private relay address Apple makes for you); we never see your Apple password. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name and your checked email address; we never see your Google password. WhatsApp: only if you choose to sign in with WhatsApp (or link it in your account), we keep your mobile number to send your sign-in codes, and, if WhatsApp is how you sign in, reminders about your account. We never use it for marketing, never show it to anyone, and never send WhatsApp messages to a player under 13. You can remove it at any time in You › Your account › Ways to sign in. For juniors: the parent's name and email and their approvals.
Your cricket. Clips you film or add, how you label them (shot, delivery, what happened), ratings, trims, the teams and squads you belong to, training plans, session logs, bowling load, match figures, availability, and comments from coaches.
Things you choose to share. Clips added to Highlights, your public page if you turn it on, and anything you send to a coach or squad.
Coaches and academies. Coach profile details and qualifications you give us (and any CV you upload), academy and school details, squads and roles.
Bowling and batting analysis (only if switched on). When you ask for a bowling analysis or a Batting check, still pictures from the clips you choose are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), to produce written observations. For a junior, a parent must switch this on first. No AI looks at your clips automatically.
Coach pages from a CV (only if asked). When a coach (or CreatED, for them) asks to fill their coach page from their CV, the text of the CV is sent to Anthropic (Claude) to suggest the page's sections, which the coach checks before anything is shown.
Free week. When you start your free week we note that this account, its Google or Apple sign-in, its WhatsApp number (if any) and this device have had it, so each person has one free week. We don't use this for anything else.
Payments. Which plan you have, any analysis credits you buy, and when your plan renews. Card and bank details are handled by our payment providers (Stripe on the website; Google Play in the Android app; Apple in the iPhone app; Razorpay for payments in India, only where it's switched on); we never see or store your full card number.
Technical information. The device and browser you use, your approximate country (worked out from your internet connection, so we can show prices in your currency), sign-in records, error logs and basic usage counts (such as how many times a public clip was watched). We don't use advertising trackers.
Fans and viewers. If you watch shared clips without an account, we count views on that device. If you join as a fan: first name, surname, email, whether you're 18 or over, and who you follow.
4. Why we use it (and our legal reasons)
| What for | Legal reason (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Running your account and the app: storing clips, training and plans; showing them to the people you choose | Contract (providing the service you asked for) |
| Parental approval and safety features for juniors | Legal obligation and legitimate interests (keeping children safe) |
| Coaches, academies and schools working with their players | Contract, and the organisation's own lawful basis (section 8) |
| Payments, receipts and preventing fraud | Contract and legal obligation (tax and accounting) |
| Bowling analysis, the Batting check and filling a coach page from a CV | Consent (yours, or a parent's for a junior); you can switch it off at any time |
| Security, fixing problems and improving the app | Legitimate interests |
| News and updates by email | Consent only (the box is off by default). We never send marketing to under-18s |
In India, we process personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 on the basis of your consent and for the uses above. For anyone under 18 we obtain verifiable consent from a parent.
5. Young players
- Anyone under 18 needs a parent's approval to have an account. The parent sets it up or approves it, and can see and change what is shared.
- A junior's public page is off until a parent turns it on, and shows only a first name and initial, never date of birth, school, address or contact details. It is hidden from search engines.
- A junior's clips go into Highlights only with a parent's approval.
- Coaches can see a junior only after the parent approves sharing with that squad, and only what is shared.
- There are no private one-to-one messages between an adult and a junior. Parents can read their child's team groups. Juniors cannot send photos or video in chat.
- Fans who follow a junior need the parent's approval. Fans can never message players.
- We do not show advertising, and we don't profile young people for marketing.
- Bowling load follows ECB age-group guidance. It is guidance, not medical advice.
By age. The rules above are for everyone under 18. On top of them:
- Under 13: no public player page; Highlights to watch only (their clips are never in Highlights); no sign-in by WhatsApp; their parent runs the account.
- 13 to 15: a public page, Highlights and any badge (such as Founding player) only once a parent says yes.
- 16 and 17: a parent still approves the account, coaches, teams and anything public; a badge can show without asking again.
- In India, everyone under 18 needs a parent's verifiable consent (the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023), so 16 and 17 year olds follow the 13 to 15 rules.
- Without a date of birth, a young player is treated as 13 to 15.
6. Who can see your information
- You, and for a junior, your parent.
- Coaches and organisations you join, limited to what you (or your parent) share with that squad, and to their role.
- Everyone, only for things you make public: Highlights, a public player page, a coach page or an academy page.
- Our service providers, who run parts of the app for us under contract and only on our instructions (section 7).
- Authorities, if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
We do not sell personal information.
7. Service providers we use
- Cloudflare (hosting, video storage and playback, databases, security, and Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a form such as the newsletter sign-up is filled in by a person, not a bot; it looks at your browser and connection, not who you are, and sets no advertising cookies)
- Resend (sending emails such as sign-in codes, invitations and receipts)
- Google (Sign in with Google, if you choose it)
- Meta (WhatsApp) (sending sign-in codes and account reminders by WhatsApp, only to people who choose WhatsApp)
- Stripe (card payments on the website)
- Google (Google Play billing in the Android app)
- Apple (the App Store, in-app purchases in the iPhone app, and Sign in with Apple)
- Razorpay (payments in India, only where it's switched on)
- Anthropic (Claude: bowling analysis, the Batting check, and filling a coach page from a CV, only when someone asks for it, never automatically. Anthropic doesn't use what we send to train its models.)
Some of these providers store or process information outside the UK and India (for example in the United States or the European Union). Where they do, we rely on the legal safeguards required by UK law (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations) and by Indian law.
8. Academies, schools and leagues
When an academy, school or league uses Cricket Creator for its players, it decides how it works with its players, and it may be the controller of that information, with us processing it on its behalf. Schools sign a data agreement with us before their staff can see any pupil. If you have questions about how your academy or school uses your information, you can ask them or us.
9. How long we keep things
- Clips: 90 days, unless you choose "Keep forever" (up to your plan's limit each season) or the clip is in use (in Highlights, a trial application, a cricket CV or open coach feedback). We remind you 7 days before clips clear.
- Kept-forever clips, training records and figures: for as long as you have an account, unless you delete them.
- Trial applications: deleted on the date the organiser sets.
- Account details: for as long as you have an account. If you close it, we delete or anonymise your information within 30 days (as set out at cricketer.pro/delete-account), except where we must keep some records (for example payment records for tax, usually 6 years).
- Sign-in sessions: up to 90 days on a device, renewed when you use the app.
- After a free week without a plan: your clips are kept for 30 days in case you choose a plan; nothing is deleted at once.
- A WhatsApp number: until you remove it, or close your account.
- Safety records (reports and take-downs): for as long as needed to keep players safe and meet legal duties.
- If a subscription ends, we never delete kept-forever clips without warning you first and giving you the chance to download them.
10. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your information, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time (for example for bowling analysis, the Batting check or emails). A parent can do this for their child. Many of these you can do yourself in the app (download clips, delete clips, change sharing, close your account). Otherwise contact us (section 13). We'll reply within one month.
In the UK you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In India you can raise a grievance with our grievance officer first (section 13) and then with the Data Protection Board of India.
11. Keeping information safe
Information is sent over secure (https) connections and stored with security measures from our providers. Coaches are verified before they can see juniors. We log access to sensitive features and act on every report.
12. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
